Short News Items

Contamination of the water supply across parts of N-Wales means that for the next few weeks you need to boil all your drinking water at Tyn-Lon

John Cole is preparing a club magazine for 2006. He needs input! If anyone has any articles from the earlier days of the Ceunant, they may be useful, & of course anything else that may be of interest.

Membership Fees

For several years we've managed to maintain out membership fees at £15 per year. However, in light of a financial shortfall in 2004 and the realisation that we are becoming increasingly dependent upon revenue from outside bookings at Tyn-Lon, a review of all our fees was needed. Earlier in the year we raised hut fees to both members & outside bookings to what was felt to be a more realistic rate. We also recognised the need to increase our annual membership fees for 2006. For the financially minded, based on our forecasted expenditure this breaks down approximately as:

                Per member (130)
                Meets & Functions:                £9.50
                BMC Affiliation:                      £8.12
                Stationary & Admin:               £3.38
                Subsidy from Tyn-Lon:          (£1.00)
                Annual Membership Fee:  £20.00

The new fee of £20 is due on 1st January. Please pay promptly & and a reminder to amend your standing orders.

As a reminder Tyn-Lon fees are:

                Members:                    £3.00
                Guests:                        £6.00
                Outside Bookings:     £8.00

Annual Dinner

The 2006 Annual Dinner will be held on Saturday 18th March at the Royal Victoria Hotel, Llanberis. Dinner will be at 7:00 for 7:30 with a live band to follow. The dress theme this year is “Black Tie” and “Posh Frocks”, either way round it’s up to you! The AGM will be held at Tyn-Lon 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
