Winter Walk, Dovedale and Manifold Valley

Meet at 10:30 at the George Pub, Alstonefield.

This is always a very popular meet. Blow those cobwebs away with a walk through Dovedale and the Manifold Valley. Everyone welcome.

1015 the George, Alstonefield, (toilets) depart 1030 latest; and via Coldeaton Bridge
1105 Road bridge,Milldale; and via Shining Tor
1145 Packhorse bridge Milldale (toilets, shelter)
1215 Stanshope GR 127542
1300-1400 the Royal Oak, Wetton (Ruddles and hot food or own outside)
1430 Manifold FB (via Thors Cave?)
1445 Road junction (098556)
1505 Manor house (105567)
1535 Gateham (116567)
1615 Alstonfield (130556) the George

Walk is 10 miles/16 km.  Dogs must be strictly controlled - many sheep, some cattle still on growing grass, few shotgun-toting farmers!  Oh, and plenty of mud.
